Carter Jonas has appointed Tom Setchell as partner across its building consultancy teams in Cambridge.

The national property consultancy says the move supports its five-year growth strategy.

Tom, a chartered building surveyor with more than 17 years’ experience, specialises in the strategic planning and management of works to commercial property.

He joins from Black Cat Building Consultancy and has previously held positions at Deloitte, CBRE and BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Richard Love, head of commercial consultancy, welcomed him, adding: “His depth of technical expertise and his commercial acumen will strengthen our capacity to deliver large and complex instructions across sectors including office, industrial and education.

“As we continue to expand our national network, leaders of this calibre will play a key role in delivering the next phase of our strategy.”
