Centrica has said no firm commitment has been made on a possible move to 40,000 sq ft at ONE Station Hill in Reading.
Thames Tap understands a deal is close to completion but neither Centrica nor Station Hill developer Lincoln MGT would confirm.
Centrica, owner of British Gas, is currently based in Maidenhead Road, Windsor with few public transport options, and is understood to be looking to downsize.
A spokesperson said: “Centrica regularly reviews its property portfolio to ensure it meets the evolving needs of our business and our people. As part of that, we explore a range of options to support our operations. To clarify, no firm commitments have been made.”
Last month CoStar News reported that Kenvue, a consumer health company backed by Johnson & Johnson, had signed up for ONE Station Hill which Lincoln MGT confirmed on social media.
Kenvue will join PepsiCo, PwC and NewFlex at the 285,000 sq ft building.
Lincoln MGT stated on its LinkedIn post: “With strong occupier demand, recognising ONE Station Hill as the standout scheme in the South East, there are only a handful of floors remaining.”
