Cheffins, the property advisers and auctioneers, has appointed William Clarke as divisional director in its East Anglian region.

Mr Clarke joins from US-based BioMed Realty where he was leasing director in Cambridge. Prior to this, he spent more than a decade at Savills advising on disposal and acquisition of office, tech and life science assets.

Mr Clarke said: “Cambridge’s commercial property market is highly specialised and innovation-driven, and as the city consolidates its position as a global hub for technology and life sciences, I’m excited to continue my career journey in a market in which I am already familiar.

“I am looking forward to re-connecting with longstanding contacts, as well as build new relationships across the region. Cheffins has a solid reputation in the industry, and I am looking forward to continuing my involvement in Cambridge with such an experienced and well-respected team.”

Cheffins is the retained agent at three of the Cambridge Cluster’s largest science parks:  Babraham Research Park, Granta Park and Chesterford Research Park.

Michael Jones, partner and head of the commercial department at Cheffins, said: “William has an unrivalled understanding of the sector, and we are delighted to have him join the Cheffins team. The commercial division here at Cheffins is growing at pace and we see the appointment of William as a catalyst to our expansion.”
