Vistry Group expects to complete all 672 homes at Shinfield Meadows this year.

All but 35 of the properties at the new neighbourhood, built under Vistry’s Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands on the edge of Shinfield, are now completed, and just three remain unsold.

The scheme includes 562 homes for private sale and 110 allocated for low-cost rent or shared ownership. Just three are left for sale.

Amber Bowley, regional sales director for Vistry Thames Valley, said: “We have delivered hundreds of homes for the local area at Shinfield Meadows since work started here back in 2017.

“The properties we have built are part of a wider new community of approximately 1,000 homes to the west of Shinfield which is now a well-established and thriving neighbourhood.

“Allotments opened in 2019, followed by a new primary school in 2020, while a supermarket is due to open soon.

“There’s also extensive green open space on the doorstep, and we have planted new trees and plants across the development as well as providing ecological measures, such as gaps in fences for hedgehogs to roam freely and installing bat and bird boxes.

“We are on track to finish on site by the end of this year and are looking forward to welcoming residents into the final homes as they are completed.”

The final properties for sale are all five-bedroom Bovis Homes houses in the ‘Yew’ design, with prices starting from £699,000.
