Investors, business owners and property experts will attend a one-day conference to experience the ‘unrivalled’ economic and growth opportunities in Bracknell’s thriving business areas.
Organised by Bracknell Business Improvement District (BID) in collaboration with UK Property Forums, Invest in Bracknell promises to showcase the rapidly increasing development and property investment potential in the town’s Southern and Western business areas.
The November 10 event at the Waitrose Conference Centre will involve 12 leading voices and high-profile speakers from the property sector and Bracknell’s globally-renowned occupiers, who will share strategic insights, statistics and ambitious predictions about the future of the town.
Delegates will hear about:
- The £770 million committed by Bracknell Forest Council and partners as part of its 20-year masterplan for residential, commercial, retail and leisure developments in the town.
- The 15 per cent population growth which is predicted by 2039
- Why world-famous brands such as Honda, Fujitsu, 3M, Waitrose, Panasonic and many others already chose Bracknell as their base.
Sean Griffin, Bracknell BID manager, said: “We’re urging businesses of all sizes, especially corporates, international companies and leading investors, to think seriously about what Bracknell has to offer.
“Bracknell BID is delighted to be teaming up with UK Property Forums to host this event, and to shine a light on the exciting multi-million-pound developments and plans that will be coming to fruition in the Southern and Western business areas over the coming months and years.
“Recent reports show that Bracknell is already one of the best places to do business and that it is part of the fastest growing economic region in the country outside of London.
“Our town is booming, the business landscape is changing, and the long-term investment potential really is enormous, largely due to the rising local employment opportunities, strong location and connectivity, and the promising property market.
“We can’t wait to showcase some of the successful businesses that are flourishing here, and to hear why they stay.”
There will be a chance to network and a guided walk around the Bracknell BID area.
The full list of speakers so far includes Maria Sabey, head of property UK&I for Fujitsu and Bracknell BID chair, Max Baker, assistant director of planning for Bracknell Forest Council and Andy Smith, head of workplace and facilities for the John Lewis Partnership.
There will also be presentations from representatives of Panasonic, SEGRO, Cushman & Wakefield, Kier Property and Frasers International.
Matthew Battle, UK Property Forums managing director, said: “Bracknell offers unrivalled opportunities and has one of the most attractive of new town centres. This event will give investors and developers the chance to meet some of the key stakeholders and occupiers in the town and to find out really crucial information about where it goes from here.
“There have been some excellent developments over the years, and with many more still to come I expect this to be a truly productive conference and to help take the town forward.”
Invest in Bracknell is on Thursday, November 10, 9.30am – 2.30pm at Waitrose Conference Centre, Willoughby Road, Bracknell RG12 8FD.
