Consultation is under way for the £1 billion redevelopment of Cody Technology Park in Farnborough.
Feedback is open until the end of August over proposals for the phased scheme to deliver 143,000 sq m of new and refurbished space, estimated to take between 10 and 15 years.
The 407-acre park next to Farnborough Airport, acquired by Tristan Capital Partners from defence manufacturer QinetiQ last year, is managed by XLB.
The redevelopment aims to transform the 280 acres of the park into a UK Centre of Excellence for defence, advanced technologies and AI.
It is expected to create an additional 750 jobs and include data centres and new amenities including a conference venue, café, gym, and restaurant.
A planning application for the redevelopment is expected to be submitted to Rushmoor Borough Council in the Autumn with initial phases expected to start in Summer 2027.
In a statement the council welcomed the launch of the consultation. It read: “The proposals would see the refurbishment of existing facilities and the delivery of new high-quality industrial units. The site is particularly well-suited to the aerospace, defence and technology sectors, which the council has identified as key areas for economic growth.
“Cody Technology Park is the largest remaining development and employment opportunity in the borough and is therefore critical to achieving the council’s growth ambitions for its towns.
“The proposals would also help to strengthen the presence of QinetiQ, one of the country’s leading technology companies with a longstanding history in the borough – supporting local jobs.”
Along some of the existing occupiers, QinetiQ, which has remained a major occupier since selling the site, is not affected.
