The former Debenhams store in Staines could be replaced with 226 homes under plans submitted to Spelthorne Borough Council.
Future High Street Living has applied to demolish the store for two blocks of 14 storeys linked by a ground floor podium. Flats will all be one or two bedroom properties. Flexible retail units will be included on the ground floor.
Plans for the vacant 0.27-hectare site in Thames Street include an allocation of 10 per cent affordable homes (23). There will be 151 parking spaces and 226 for bikes.
The team includes Cerda as planning consultant and Corstorphine & Wright as architect.
