US-based software firm Egnyte has expanded its operation in Reading.
The California-headquartered supplier of security, compliance and collaboration services for businesses has moved its EMEA operation into a bespoke 4,100 sq ft office on the fifth floor of The Pinnacle in Tudor Road, close to Reading station. It has previously operated from 3,627 sq ft in the same building.
The firm, which has been considering its space requirements for some time, wanted the ability to both attract talent and meet increasing demand for its data security and governance solutions.
Ben Saville, head of EMEA for Egnyte (pictured cutting the ribbon), said: “This office expansion is critical as the needs of our employees continue to evolve.
“We required more physical space to fit our growing team comfortably as well as an environment that fosters enhanced collaboration to better serve our customers.”
The new office features an open floor plan, separate meeting rooms and soundproofed booths. The space will support plans to expand the company’s EMEA channel and market strategy, including in the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction.
Egnyte has developed roots in Reading and was keen to stay in the town and chief revenue officer Stan Hansen serves on the board of Reading’s Economy & Destination Agency (REDA).
Mr Saville added: “As one of the fastest growing economies in the UK, Reading was a natural fit to base Egnyte’s EMEA operations.
“The centrality of the office itself is very convenient as it is located near a variety of shops and restaurants, in addition to new development.”
