Dr Elodie Siney has been appointed operations manager for Oxford North.

Previously park manager at The Oxford Science Park (TOSP), Dr Siney is the latest key recruit following the appointment of Simon Ruck (pictured centre below) and Kevin Reid (pictured left) as managing director and energy and engineering manager, respectively, last year.

Her previous roles include marketing and events manager at the University of Oxford’s BioEscalator and chief operating officer at biotech start-up VisusNano.

A trained clinical neuroscientist, she has more than 25 years’ experience in research, biotechnology, business development, events and property management.

Simon Ruck said: “We are thrilled to welcome Elodie to Oxford North. Her unique blend of scientific expertise and entrepreneurial experience in operations, scaling, and company creation is outstanding, ensuring that our future companies will be in excellent hands. With 2025 approaching – a pivotal year as we prepare to open our doors to the public and the innovation community – we are excited to further expand our team.”

Dr Siney said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Oxford North to deliver unique spaces for innovation with a focus on social and environmental responsibility, wellbeing and company growth.

“Together we will create a holistic ecosystem engineered to support global science and tech companies and entrepreneurs alongside the wider community. I will use my previous experience in start-ups, scale ups and supporting growing companies to deliver first rate services for this new place.”

The £700 million innovation district, being created by Oxford North Ventures, a JV between Thomas White Oxford, the development company of St John’s College, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and Stanhope, will deliver one million sq ft of new labs and workspace and  480 new homes, all surrounded by public parks and amenities.

The site is a 15-minute cycle ride from the city centre and the scheme’s first phase is due to open in mid-2025.
