One of the leading figures in SEGRO’s evolution in the Thames Valley is moving on at the end of the year.
Gareth Osborn, SEGRO’s business unit director Thames Valley and national logistics, has been with the firm for more than 30 years but, from next year, is to pursue interests in both the property world and the charity sector including sailing with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
Mr Osborn, who won the Outstanding Contribution of the Year Award at Thames Valley Property Awards in 2015, has worked closely with UK Property Forums on some of our biggest regional events.
He has partnered with us to help establish TVPropFest and was central to its forerunner, Thames Valley Property Forum, since as far back as 2005.
In a statement to staff at SEGRO, chief operating officer Andrew Gulliford said: “Gareth is our longest serving member of the Leadership Team and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for the significant contribution he has made to SEGRO over the years.”
Mr Osborn told Thames Tap: “I am leaving the business at a time when SEGRO is the top FTSE 100 property company and the Thames Valley portfolio continues to make a significant contribution from our portfolio in Reading, Bracknell and Slough.
“Time for me to pursue a range of other interests but I would expect to still pop up in the TV property sector on occasions.”
