Chandler Garvey has launched Garvey Consulting, a senior-led strategic advisory division, providing board-level property advice, to organisations facing complex decisions with a property bias.
Chandler Garvey is led by Michael Garvey MBE, and this new division marks a change in his nearly 40 years of work in commercial property, more than 20 years of which have been spent leading Chandler Garvey, which has operated as a leading Thames Valley property consultancy.
The focus areas of Michaels career has been advising on individual transactions, lettings, sales, corporate acquisitions, rent reviews, lease renewals, investment and development work. Through this work he has acted on instruction for national corporate occupiers and institutional property owners across many sectors.
This work will continue to be central to the firms services, however Garvey Consulting will focus on another strand of work, that being to provide senior oversight in situations where property decisions intersect with strategy, governance and long-term performance.
Comments
Michael said “Property decisions today rarely sit in isolation. They affect risk, capital allocations, operational performance and reputation. Increasingly, boards want senior judgement and continuity of advice, not simply transactional execution.
“Garvey Consulting allows me to focus on a smaller number of assignments where I can deploy almost four decades of experience, relationships and market knowledge in a more integrated way.
“Over the past 15 years I have served as a non-executive director and chair/vice chair of economic development organisations that straddle the private and public sectors. That board experience shapes this approach.
“It is about managing complex processes, aligning advisers and ensuring property strategy supports organisational performance. I will continue to work closely with our established clients. This is about broadening what we offer, not stepping away from the relationships built over many years.
“Garvey Consulting acts in effect as an outsourced Property Director for organisations that require senior-level, embedded advice but do not need a full-time in-house role.
“The division supports major lease events, portfolio reviews, asset strategy, development decisions and governance oversight across both private and public sectors on a national basis.”
