Plans for 250 homes at Highworth on the edge of Swindon go before councillors on Tuesday (June 8) with a recommendation for approval.
Gladman plans the scheme on an 11.38-hectare agricultural site off Shrivenham Road. The plan includes a 30 per cent proportion of affordable homes.
Dozens of letters of objection have been received with one of support.
The application’s design & access statement concludes: “The development can positively address site constraints and successfully integrate with the urban edge and landscape surroundings.
“The development will create new amenity space for both new and existing residents and will enhance public access across the site.”
