Housebuilder Hayfield has acquired a 3.22-hectare site in West Lavington, Wiltshire to deliver 50 of its most luxurious homes.

The developer bought the site from Gaiger Properties Limited and Crossmolina and has submitted a reserved matters application to Wiltshire Council for the mix of bungalows, maisonettes and two, three, four and five-bedroom executive houses.

Homes in the consented £21m development will feature air source heat pumps, energy-efficient underfloor heating, the fast electric vehicle charging points and ultra-fast broadband.

Andy Morris, managing director of Hayfield, said: “This is our second site in Wiltshire, but Hayfield Wood in Broad Blunsdon is nearly an hour away, so this proposed scheme will appeal to a very different market. As a reflection of the desirability and popularity of this area with aspirational purchasers, this scheme will become one of Hayfield’s most luxurious new developments.

“The plans for each two, three, four and five-bedroom home features room dimensions that greatly exceed those typically seen in the new homes market.

“Our spacious designs and sympathetic architecture – which takes design cues from the plethora of traditional properties in the village – will be combined with an eco-efficient specification that far exceeds Building Regulations.

“Following initial pre-application engagement, we look forward to continue to work with West Lavington District Council, local people and stakeholders, regarding our application.”

The homes will include a 30 proportion of affordable properties.
