Hyundai is to leave High Wycombe for a new head office building at Leatherhead.

The South Korean car manufacturer will relocate to 17,000 sq ft of space at the Birchwood Building at The Office Park in Autumn. Hyundai has taken a 10-year lease.

Nick Tunnell, aftersales director at Hyundai, said: “We are delighted with our new premises which is ideally positioned to deliver the right cultural fit for our employees. We were impressed with the work Vail Williams delivered, not only to source the modern, high quality building we wanted, but to complete the project from start to finish in just 40 days.”

The new venue will have 20 electric car charging points.

Steve New, partner at Vail Williams, said: “Securing this outstanding space for Hyundai’s UK headquarters has been very satisfying.

“Office demand in Leatherhead has increased significantly in recent years and there are a number of new opportunities coming to market in the town, making it an exciting place to locate and do business in.”

A preferred supplier to carry out the fit-out of the new premises has been appointed, with Vail Williams retained to project manage the works which are due to take place over the summer.
