Jamie Elbourn has been appointed associate within the rural agency team for Savills in the East of England.
Jamie has worked in the agricultural sector for seven years – most recently as the lead rural agent for Carter Jonas across East Anglia and the East Midlands, specialising in the sale of farmland, equestrian and leisure properties.
In his new role, he will be based predominately in the Savills Chelmsford office and responsible for advising clients on the sale of their farms and estates across the East of England including Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
A Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV) and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), he is also a qualified agent for the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation (AMC).
Jamie said: “I was brought up in North-West Essex which has helped me build a strong network within the local rural community.
“While I’ve worked across the wider eastern region, a significant portion of my agency work over the past seven years has been in Essex – including farmland sales in Southend, Upminster, Epping, Chelmsford and Saffron Walden.
“This has given me a thorough understanding of the county’s rural land market, which I look forward to applying in my new role.
“Savills’ strength and market share in the farm agency sector make it a flagship employer for someone in my position. The opportunities available for a specialist in farm agency are unrivalled, and I’m excited to be involved with the scale and quality of instructions Savills is known for.
“The company has a strong track record and an excellent reputation and I can’t wait to get started.”
William Hargreaves, who leads the rural agency team for Savills in the East of England, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Jamie into the Savills fold. He brings a wealth of experience to a very important part of our business and has a strong understanding of the regional farmland market which can only be a benefit to clients and colleagues alike.
“The rural sector is undergoing a period of immense change and I’m confident his experience and enthusiasm will help us to continue to provide the very best level of service.”
