Kadans Science Partner has brought its latest completed laboratory building to the market.

Its 25,600 sq ft Barton House at Abingdon Science Park provides flexible laboratory and office accommodation.

The BREEAM Excellent building is designed in two wings of differing sizes, with a 50/50 lab to office ratio. It can house two separate occupiers or a single business.

Along with the labs and offices, a café will open which will also serve as a point for collaboration and networking opportunities for the park.

Will Fogden, senior development manager for Kadans, said: “It is great to announce the completion of Barton House and see the finished building set within the grounds of Abingdon Science Park.

“Delivering modern purpose-built laboratory space at scale bolsters the Kadans offering and highlights our ongoing ambitions for the Park.”

Kadan’s head of leasing Katie Nelson said: “It is exciting to bring a new type of laboratory product to our existing ownership at The Science Quadrant at Abingdon Science Park.

“This building is our flagship building on the site and presents a great opportunity for new businesses wanting to join our European ecosystem and be housed in a highly technical facility.

“The addition of the café will provide much needed communal space within the park, encouraging innovators to gather and collaborate. We look forward to working with potential businesses to expand here.”

Agents for the park are DTRE and Bidwells.
