Oxford North developer Thomas White Oxford (TWO) has made two key appointments.
Dame Alison Nimmo and Matt Dawkes have joined the board of the firm which is the development business of St John’s College.
Dame Alison was formerly chief executive of The Crown Estate and held senior roles in the developments for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Her 30-year career in real estate included major city-centre regeneration projects in Sheffield and Manchester.
She is a commissioner of The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 and a member of Imperial College London’s property committee. Previous non-executive roles include FTSE100, Berkeley Group, St Modwen Properties, chair of the CBI’s Economic Growth Board and a trustee and COP26 Ambassador for the UK Green Building Council.
Matt Dawkes has more than 23 years’ experience and previously worked for North West Cambridge as finance director, Argent Group as head of finance, Euromoney and Grant Thornton.
TWO chairman Bernard Taylor said: “Alison’s considerable experience will be of huge benefit to Thomas White Oxford, and I am delighted she has agreed to join our board. Matt’s wide financial management experience will be key as the project is delivered.
“Our Oxford North investment will deliver an extraordinary place to live and work and be a facilitator of life-improving science and technology discoveries made in Oxford, for everyone’s future benefit.”
The appointments follow the recent appointments to the board of Bernard Taylor, Prof Dame Kay Davies, Prof Andrew Parker, Zoe Hancock, Prof Jason Schnell and Prof Jan Obloj.
