Savills has announced deals it has completed in Beaumont Street, Oxford on behalf of St John’s College.

The 2,409 sq ft number 16 has been let to White & Black Legal on a new eight-year lease, subject to the completion of a refurbishment, currently under way.

Publishing business Oriel Square has taken 1,088 sq ft on the lower ground and first floor of number 29 and a further 507 sq ft on the third floor has gone under offer to the publisher.

Earlier this year Savills let number 17 to Cambridge Quantum Computing on a 12-year lease.

Currently number 25 is under offer, while number 26, which totals 1,953 sq ft, is available to let at a starting quoting rent of £35 per sq ft. The space can be acquired either in its current condition or refurbished.

Sophie Holder, surveyor in the business space team at Savills Oxford, said: “Situated in one of Oxford’s principal commercial locations, Beaumont Street offers attractive, newly refurbished office accommodation with period features and outside space which remains very popular with occupiers.

“St John’s has successfully capitalised on the demand for high quality space and as a result has been able to secure premium rents. Looking ahead, we anticipate strong interest in number 26 from firms looking for city centre premises with proximity to key technology and life science businesses.”
