Education recruitment agency Dovetail & Slate has agreed to lease 8,200 sq ft at 740 Aztec West business park in Bristol.

The recruiter, which has outgrown its existing North Bristol base, will relocate its headquarters to the business park.

740 Aztec West was acquired by Legal and General in 2015 for around £8.5 million and underwent significant refurbishment at the time. Following its refurbishment, the building picked up an architecture award from the British Council for Offices.

The building is EPC A rated and BREEAM ‘Very Good’.

The building is set to go under additional refurbishment, including a reworked reception area, additional cycle parking and works to the shower, toilet and locker provisions.

Hannah Waterhouse, office agency director at JLL in Bristol, said: “This latest letting represents the ongoing flight to quality that we’re seeing from occupiers, who are continuing to recognise the value business parks can offer, particularly from a cost and benefit point of view when comparing to the city centre. L&G is a landlord committed to bringing about this sustainable change and is very focused on building improvement.

“There’s a strong appetite for premium out-of-town accommodation in well-established locations like Aztec West, which have the transport links, parking and wider facilities to support modern hybrid working patterns. It was great to successfully complete this letting for Dovetail & Slate and help them find the perfect location for their headquarters.”

Joe Averill, managing director at Level, which advised the tenant, added: “It’s been a pleasure supporting Dovetail & Slate in securing their new headquarters.

“The move to 740 Aztec West provides them with the quality of space needed to continue their impressive growth journey, while also aligning with their values as a B Corp.

“This modern, sustainable environment will allow the team to thrive and reflects the strength of Bristol as a hub for ambitious, people-focused businesses.”

JLL and Knight Frank acted as joint letting agents for the landlord.
