Oxford Business Park (OBP) has appointed Allies & Morrison to lead the masterplan of one of the city’s most important strategic development opportunities.

The park, which sits alongside the ring road, is a core part of Oxford’s booming science and innovation sector and the  masterplan will deliver more scale-up and innovation space alongside additional amenities and public spaces.

OBP is part of the Arlington portfolio which was acquired by Brookfield earlier this year. It has more than one million sq ft of built work space, around 200,000 sq ft of which is immediately available for re-positioning.

There is a further 10 acres of consented development land that will deliver around 750,000 sq ft of new laboratory and office space. Brookfield is keen to press ahead with those schemes as quickly as possible.

Simon Fraser, lead partner at Allies and Morrison, said: “The opportunity to work on such an iconic site and make a major impact in a short timeframe is incredibly exciting, especially with the connectivity of the Cowley train line now firmly on the horizon.”
