Montreaux is to launch Odyssey Place on Saturday, May 22, a striking collection of one and two bedroom apartments in Maidenhead.

Two show apartments will be on display, to showcase the growing need for space within homes in an era when London is seeing reducing demand.

David Burke, chief executive of Montreaux, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the two new show apartments at Odyssey Place.

“Maidenhead has long been considered a hub for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London, but whom still wish to benefit from the city’s vast employment opportunities and buzzing social scene.

“Thankfully, Maidenhead enjoys exceptional travel connections – by road and rail – meaning those who do need to commute or socialise can do so without compromising their desire for a slower-paced life.”

Speaking about the design, customer services manager Brid Hesse, said: “Our focus for the respective show-apartments was to be as sustainable as possible. There is certainly more awareness around the subject of sustainability, and here at Montreaux, we try to do our bit for the planet.

“We live in such a throwaway society where everything is disposable. We firmly believe that if something is still stylish and functional, we can recycle or repurpose it. The properties are already built with energy efficiency as a key consideration, so it seemed pertinent for the design team to continue this philosophy.”

Montreaux offers the following description of the scheme:

As is synonymous with Montreaux’s sterling reputation for providing high-quality homes, the apartments at Odyssey Place have been designed to a high standard. Kitchen/living/dining areas are open plan – providing ample opportunity to cook, eat, relax or entertain guests once social distancing restrictions have eased.

This area is then extended onto a generously sized balcony or terrace, satisfying the growing desire amongst home-hunters for private outdoor space. Bedrooms are designed to offer crisp lines and plenty of storage space, ensuring they remain clutter free sanctuaries for unwinding after a long day.

Kitchens are sleek and contemporary, featuring Matt slate units, composite stone worktops, LED downlights, and a range of integrated Bosch appliances. Bathrooms are likewise well-equipped; coming with mirrored recessed vanity units and stylish chrome fixtures and fittings. Additional features include sliding mirrored wardrobes to bedrooms, and car parking for selected units.

Residents at Odyssey are well catered for when it comes to shopping, leisure, and travel. The cobbled streets of Maidenhead are adorned with a profusion of quaint café’s, tantalising eateries and boutique independent shops; in addition to a selection of high-street favourites at the respective local malls, Nicholson Shopping Centre and Bishops Centre Retail Park. For a bite to eat, residents are truly spoilt for choice. Maidenhead plays host to a vibrant array of first-class eateries; including the popular, Roux at Skindles, with stunning views over the River Thames. Alternatively, The Fat Duck in Bray, Waterside Inn, Boathouse at Boulters Lock and Coppa Club are all close by.

For outdoor pursuits, Maidenhead is home to a plethora of green spaces and recreation grounds – all of which within a few short minutes from the scheme – including the famed ‘Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A little further afield, avid walkers, runners and cyclists can explore the 43 square mile conclave of country parks, nature reserves and wildlife habitats, lakes and rivers at Colne Valley Regional Park. Kidwells Park, Pinkey’s Green, and North Town Moor are also nearby.

Commuters are well catered for here, with Maidenhead Station just moments away; whisking travellers to London Paddington in just 20 minutes, and Bond Street in 52. The introduction of Crossrail in 2022 is sure to create an even larger sense of ease; slicing travel times by up to 20 minutes. For international travel, Heathrow airport is just 20 minutes away by car.
