A 3,500 sq m development of dry laboratory space has been proposed for a site within the grounds of Littlemore House in Oxford.

HTA Design, on behalf of Charterhouse Property Group, has applied to build a two-storey building of flexible commercial space on two plots totalling 1.45-hectares. The scheme, designed by Spratley & Partners, will be known as Oxford Innovation Park and will be just yards from Oxford Science Park.

The proposal is designed to address a need for ‘grow on’ space for science businesses looking to move on from incubator space but not ready for large head office locations.

The development does not affect Littlemore House, a former hospital building, currently used by SAE Education.
