One of the largest legal aid law firms in the UK has opened an office in Iver near Slough.
Reeds Solicitors’ new base at Grantwood House in The Ridgeway, is its 25th office in England and Wales following new openings Northampton and Bridgend.
It will be led by Tom Brymer, criminal partner and area manager for Reeds’ central area, which includes Oxford, Reading, Basingstoke and Eastbourne.
Managing partner Jan Matthews (pictured) said the expansion comes in the face of the ongoing pay dispute around legal aid.
He added: “Despite the long-standing underinvestment of the criminal justice system, we are determined to continue to provide legal aid services, aided by the expansion our bespoke privately funded services across England and Wales. We are there to help no matter what your circumstances.”
Mr Brymer said: “The provision of legal aid services are crucial to people and their communities. This is another chance for Reeds to demonstrate its values, putting client’s needs at the forefront of everything we do. I have thoroughly enjoyed developing offices in Reading, Basingstoke, Oxford and Eastbourne and look forward to the opportunity to do so again in Iver.”
