Orbit Homes has announced plans to construct 220 new homes, emphasising affordability through shared ownership and affordable rent options.
The initiative aims to provide residents with an opportunity to live in a community they can take pride in.
Ray Winney, Regional Managing Director at Orbit Homes, expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the commitment to inclusivity and uniform standards across all housing tenures.
“All of our Orbit Homes developments are designed to be tenure-blind, which means customers receive the same commitment to design, specification, and safety, whether they purchase through shared ownership, market sale, or affordable rent. I look forward to seeing the site progress over the years, and to creating a thriving new community in the East,” Winney stated.
With 118 of the new homes allocated for affordable rent and shared ownership, the project aims to cater to a range of house buyers.
By offering the same level of commitment to quality and safety regardless of tenure, Orbit Homes seeks to foster a sense of equality and community cohesion.
