Peter Denton, former chief executive of Homes England and The Hyde Group, has been appointed chair of Cambridge Biomedical Campus Limited.
Peter has more than 30 years of pan-European experience. Prior to his aforementioned chief executive roles, Peter has held roles at Starwood Capital Group, CREFC Europe and BNP Paribas among others.
Currently, Peter is a senior adviser to Oval Real Estate and a real estate investment committee member for Eurazeo.
Regarding his recent appointment, Peter said: “The Cambridge Biomedical Campus presents a unique opportunity to deliver economic growth and health innovation. But we need to ensure that this happens in a way that keeps the Campus both globally competitive and locally sustainable.
“It’s also about ensuring that it facilitates the scientific collaboration and partnership which creates opportunities for the next great scientific breakthroughs which will improve health globally.
“We want to build and maintain a world class place; one of which local people and Cambridge can be proud, and is the best possible place to visit, work and live beside. CBC Ltd can be a strong voice in shaping that.”
In 2025, Peter was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to housing and major urban regeneration. He is also a qualified accountant.
