Gleeson Land has applied to build up to 430 homes at Newlands Farrm in Arborfield.

Gleeson’s outline plans for the 23.35-hectare agricultural site, made up of four fields, is not part of the initial 2,800-home first phase of Loddon Valley Garden Village but is connected to the overall scheme for an eventual total of almost 4,000 homes.

The site is bordered by the B3030 Mole Road to the south east and the plans, submitted to Wokingham Borough Council, include a vehicle, bus, cycle and pedestrian corridor between Mole Road and northern boundary of site, to connect with the proposed Loddon Garden Village spine road

There will also be a new pedestrian and cycle link between Carter’s Hill Lane and Ellis’s Hill.

The team on the project includes Savills on planning, Thrive on architecture, i-Transport as transport consultant and Meeting Place on community engagement.
