Councillors will be asked to decide the future of a completed and occupied block of 51 flats in Slough, which only has permission for 41.
Developer Redsky Homes’ application for retrospective permission for Willow Tree House in Station Road, Langley, on the site of the former Willow Tree pub, goes before Slough Borough Council’s planning committee on Wednesday, February 26, with a recommendation for refusal.
The developer was given approval for 41 flats on appeal in August 2021 and, after a number of amendments, new plans for 47 flats were proposed last May, after work had already begun.
The agenda to Wednesday’s meeting states: “Whilst this application was being considered, works continued on-site which didn’t appear to reflect the original consents.
“The Local Planning Authority informed the applicant to stop work until the application was determined, however this advice was ignored and construction work continued.
“In November 2024, the application was withdrawn and the current application submitted for retention of the development as-built, and additional works. It is understood that the development is occupied.”
