Reading estate agent and Thames Tap partner Haslams has signed two deals to boost its new homes operation in the Thames Valley.

The agent, which is almost 200 years old, has acquired Michael Hardy Estate Agent, which operates in Wokingham and Crowthorne, and formed a strategic new homes alliance with the Frost Partnership which operates 15 offices in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.

In a joint statement on the Frost deal, the respective managing directors of Frost Partnership and Haslams, John Frost and Steve Woodford, said: “We believe this is a game-changer. Our companies are already leaders in new homes sales and marketing in our respective territories and no one knows our markets like us nor do they have our depth and breadth of skills.

“By joining forces we are extending our collective physical offering to developers across more than 50 miles from within the M25 and out towards Newbury whilst our marketing continues to have increasingly global reach.

“We have complementary skills, our ethos is very similar and our geographic catchments adjoin and so it makes perfect sense.

“At the heart of this alliance are our developer clients, especially those that have very large sites that need the specialist new homes skills, market intelligence, gravitas and extensive local coverage that only the two agencies offer. Together we offer a very compelling proposition.”

The combined agents will have 18 offices.
