Berkeley has announced the launch of the next phase of apartments within its Reading Riverworks scheme, taking place this Saturday and Sunday from 10-4pm each day, at Reading Riverworks Marketing Suite.

The development is known as Thames Reach, and is a collection of 55 apartments, many of which are positioned to enjoy views across the River Thames to Christchurch Meadows. The apartments will utilise floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light, and certain properties will have private balconies with vantage points over the water.

The apartments will also utilise open-plan layouts and energy-efficient designs, as modern living has been a focus point in design. This, combined with its location, which is well connected to transport links and town, makes the Thames Reach development a promising development.

Alan Dearing, sales and marketing director at Berkeley Homes Oxford & Chiltern, said “Reading Riverworks is transforming the former SSE power station into a vibrant riverside neighbourhood, unlocking the full potential of a strategic brownfield location and shaping the next phase of the town’s evolution.

“Due to the build programme, the majority of interest in the first phase has come from investors seeking yields of up to 6.5 percent.

“However we’re also seeing an increase in demand from a mix of local purchasers, including first-time buyers and downsizers, seeking a premium, low-maintenance home in a lively cosmopolitan town with superb transport connections.

“For many, it offers the flexibility of a future primary residence in a stunning riverside location, or a convenient pied-a-terre they can easily lock up and leave.”
