Salience Labs has moved into Milton Park.

The firm, which is pioneering development of photonic switches for AI data centres, has opened a bespoke 6,700 sq ft laboratory, more than trebling its previous space.

The switches, which use light to speed up the movement of data, are being developed with more than £41 million the company has raised from investors including Oxford Science Enterprises.

Salience’s 50-plus staff will work in a bespoke EPC A-rated space, designed to encourage collaboration.

Tom Booker, commercial manager for Milton Park, said: “By choosing 100 Park Drive for its new HQ, Salience can take advantage of Milton Park’s location and access to top talent. We wish the team all the best as they settle into their new base.”
