Savills has expanded its commercial agency team in Oxford with two new appointments.

Robert Beatson (pictured right) and George Brown (pictured left) have joined as directors in the Savills Oxford office. They join a growing team of Savills experts across the Golden Triangle and South East region, advising landlords, developers and occupiers.

Robert and George, both formerly with Bidwells, have extensive experience working on high-profile projects across Oxfordshire.

Andrew Willcock, head of South East office markets at Savills, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Robert and George to Savills. Their deep understanding of the office and science sectors make them invaluable additions to our existing, successful Oxford team.

“With an excellent track record working on high profile instructions these hires enable us to continue to strengthen our dedicated office and science offering across the Golden Triangle.”

Robert Beatson adds: “This is an exciting time to be joining Savills. I believe that Oxford stands at a pivotal juncture, with the science & tech ecosystem now reaching a critical scale, we are beginning to see major global organisations wanting to co-locate amongst the home-grown talent.

“I consider that Savills can provide a unique platform in the marketplace by offering a best in class local understanding combined with the potential to leverage extensive national and international networks, including those in the United States, that is why I joined the team.”

James Evans, head of national office agency, said: “Robert and George are strategic hires which underscore our commitment to strengthening our office, science and tech capabilities across the UK. Their expertise will complement our strong, existing team and Savills Science offering to ensure clients receive comprehensive and best in class service.”

The new hires follow the recent appointment of Emily Slupek to lead and grow the Savills Oxford project management team, focusing primarily on the science, tech and education sectors.
