Taylor Wimpey has submitted plans for 265 homes for military personnel working at RAF Brize Norton.

The housebuilder, working in partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has submitted plans to West Oxfordshire District Council to develop 9.081-hectare site, between the B4020 Upavon Way and Northwood Crescent in Carterton.

Homes at the sustainable development, to be known as Project Desinare, will be close to waking, cycling and public transport routes, be net zero carbon ready and have solar panels, air source heat pumps, EV charging, waste water heat recovery and triple glazed windows.

Ventura Business Park is to the east of the site.

The team on the project includes Boyer on planning, Pegasus on design and transport planning and Ethos Environmental Planning on ecology.
