Hillingdon has approved a nine-storey mixed-use development including 376 co-living units in Hayes.
The space is created by demolishing an unused warehouse on the eastern side.
The ground floor of the unit will comprise light industrial units, which will provide the same employment as the old warehouse.
The co-living units will range from 16 metres to 24 metres squared. The building will include plenty of communal space, including 57 Kitchen units, five private dining areas, lounges and libraries that will double as co-working areas.
In keeping with the development ambitions to be sustainable, it will be car light with only a few blue badge spaces and parking for the commercial units.
The developer is the co-living specialist The Collective.
The Collective state that their mission is, “to build and activate spaces that foster human connection and enable people to lead more fulfilling lives.”
