Property consultant Savills has made three new appointments to its Norwich office.

Matthew Doylend and Grace Marriott have joined the development team, while Ellie Goring has joined as a graduate rural surveyor.

Matthew joins the development team, having recently completed a degree in Archaeology and Ancient Civilisations at Durham University.

Matthew said: “Before joining, I was aware of Savills reputation through conversations with friends in the industry and my own research. The positive reviews of the graduate programme were especially prevalent in my decision process.

“Having completed a non-cognate degree at university it was comforting to see that I could apply on equal footing to cognate students and would be well supported in my journey to becoming qualified.

“In my earliest visits to the Norwich office, the professional yet welcoming atmosphere confirmed that the Savills values were well aligned with my own and that it would be somewhere I would thoroughly enjoy working.”

Grace has transferred internally from the residential development sales team to the development team and will be enrolling onto an apprenticeship scheme early next year.

The scheme allows employees to work while studying and Grace will be undertaking her degree in Real Estate Management.

She said: “Having moved over from the residential development sales team, I already had a good working relationship with the development team as new homes and development operate within the same market.

“The role felt like a natural progression in my career and an opportunity to explore the other side of the transactional process.”

Ellie has joined the rural estate management team after recently completing her Masters in Science in Real Estate at The University of Reading. In 2024, she completed a two-month rural internship at the Savills Salisbury office.

She said: “My internship at Savills is what attracted me to the business and drew me towards continuing my career journey here. I am looking forward to advancing my skill set in the graduate role and taking in all there is to learn.”

Natalie Howlett-Clarke, head of office for Savills Norwich, said: “It is great to see our new joiners already involved in Savills and thriving in their roles. It is a pleasure to support these bright individuals in progressing their careers, while they bring fresh perspectives to the business.”
