Three young planners have joined Savills planning team across Oxford and Reading.

Róisín Moyne and Amelia Powell have joined Savills as planners in the firm’s Reading office while Kathy Allen has joined as a graduate planner based in Oxford.

All are part of Savills Central Planning which represents land owners, housebuilders and promoters across the Thames Valley, operating from bases in both locations.

Róisín has over two years’ planning consultancy experience, having previously worked for Peacock + Smith in London and Optimis Consulting in Bedford. Since joining Savills she has passed her APC to become a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).

Amelia has a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Dundee and previously worked as a planning officer for a local authority in Suffolk.  She has a keen interest in research and has hosted workshops across the country on gender-inclusive planning.

Kathy recently graduated from Newcastle University with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and returns to Savills having completed a Planning Summer Scheme placement with the business in June 2023.

Olivia Lindsay has also joined the Central Planning team as an administrator and Reading office coordinator.  Olivia is another familiar face within Savills having previously worked within the business as a renewals negotiator.

Julia Mountford, joint head of Savills Central Planning based in Reading, said: “I am delighted to welcome Róisín, Amelia, Kathy and Olivia to our team which is now 24.

“It is important to our business and the service we offer our clients that we continue to support young talent. The energy, dynamism and perspective they have to offer is a great complement to the depth of expertise we have within our experienced team.”

Rob Linnell, joint head of Savills Central Planning based in Oxford, said: “As one of the leading planning consultancy teams within the Thames Valley, we can offer those at the start of their career a lot of opportunity to get stuck into a broad range of projects, large and small, across numerous sectors and geographies.”
