Three office lettings totalling almost 10,000 sq ft have been announced in Reading town centre.

USS, advised by JLL Asset Management, has completed deals at refurbished No 33 in Blagrave Street. The lettings were secured jointly by Haslams Surveyors and Campbell Gordon, each achieving £33 per sq ft on five-year leases.

HR software developer Ciphr has taken the entire 4,530 sq ft third floor and will relocate from Marlow.

Grid-scale battery energy storage firm Atlantic Green has taken 2,954 sq ft of the first floor, with PR firm Little Red Rooster taking the remaining 2,099 sq ft. It will relocate from Twyford.

Other occupiers in the building include law firm Blandy & Blandy, bid writing business Kittle and online educator Skill Dynamics.

There is now just one floor remaining: a suite of 4,350 sq ft.

The 21,404 sq ft, five-storey building has been extensively refurbished and remodelled inside while the traditional, exterior façade was preserved.

Harry Bevins, partner in Haslams Surveyors’ agency department, said: “These lettings demonstrate continued demand for high quality offices in the sub 5,000 sq ft Reading market as occupiers continue to acquire desirable work environments to boost staff numbers returning to the office.

“This goes in tandem with not only attracting new staff but retaining the existing workforce by taking space in Reading’s thriving town centre that’s well connected with its wealth of transport links and local amenities.”

Ciphr was advised by LSH Reading. Little Red Rooster PR, and Atlantic Green were unrepresented.
