Hammerson has agreed a letting with Uniqlo at Cabot Circus in Bristol, as the popular fashion retailer is set to open its first store in the city.

The new store is situated in a prominent, gateway location at Cabot Circus, providing 15,000 sq ft of tradable space across two floors.

Uniqlo will join new additions M&S, Treetop Golf and Odeon, with the latter opening in 2026.

It is hoped the diversified multi-use tenant mix will attract further footfall to the centre, which currently receives 17 million visitors per year.

Uniqlo will also make its Midlands debut later this month at Hammerson’s Bullring in Birmingham.

Paul O’Brien, director of leasing & commercialisation at Hammerson, said: “UNIQLO’s significant investment in both Bullring and Cabot Circus highlights the confidence that leading retailers have in Hammerson, and the un-matched quality of our destinations.

“By providing prime locations in the UK’s biggest cities, our destinations continue to attract the latest and best-in-class global brands seeking regional flagship presences, and UNIQLO is a perfect example of this demand.”

Alessandro Dudech, COO of Uniqlo UK, said: “UNIQLO remains committed to strengthening its presence within the UK retail sector by expanding both our physical store network and ecommerce capabilities nationwide.

“As part of this strategic initiative, we are pleased to introduce UNIQLO to the communities and visitors in the South West in at Bristol’s Cabot Circus.”
