Plans are being drawn up for up to 150 homes on land in Banbury.

A screening opinion request has been submitted to Cherwell District Council over the need for an environmental impact assessment ahead of a planning application by Hargreaves Residential Developments for an 11.5-hectare site, west of the A423 Southam Road.

Although the screening request refers to 15 homes, the proposed outline application is likely to seek permission for around 130 properties. Homes of up to five bedrooms are proposed.

The screening document, submitted by Harris Lamb property consultancy, envisages the permission sought will be for homes on two separate, but connected, parcels of land surrounded by green open space.

The masterplan has been drawn up by Corstophine & Wright.
