Vistry has signed a forward-funding agreement to deliver 160 new homes in Cam, Gloucestershire.
Thriving Investments, the fund management arm of Places for People, have forward funded 160 of the 266-unit scheme, which will be delivered as affordable housing.
The remaining 106 homes will be sold on the open market by Vistry’s housebuilding brand, Linden Homes.
The new homes will be built across four parcels of land, part of the wider site where Vistry has already developed 238 homes.
Supriya Ray, Regional Managing Director of Vistry Cotswolds, said: “We’re pleased to be providing a further 266 homes in Cam, having already successfully delivered 238 homes on the wider site.
“By working in partnership with Thriving Investments, more than half of them will be available in affordable housing tenures, making a major contribution to the area’s affordable housing supply and giving local people genuine opportunities to own or rent a quality new home.”
Ben Fry, Fund Manager, Gresham House Thriving Investments Residential Secure Income LP, said: “[…] We’re proud to be working alongside Vistry to bring forward a high-quality, sustainable housing scheme that addresses real economic and social needs for local housing in Gloucestershire.
“The development will provide families, individuals, and key workers with access to secure and affordable housing, alongside robust returns for investors.”
The first homes are set for completion by Q2 2026, with full completion expected by Q4 2028.
Vistry has focussed its strategy on partnerships housing and mixed tenure schemes, following the £1.1 billion merger with Countryside in November 2022.

We can only hope they won’t be like the drab little boxes shown in the photograph – bearing in mind this is in the Cotswolds and area of outstanding natural beauty, lets hope the house-builders have employed an architect worthy of the name.
