Somerset Council’s West Somerset House in Williton is set to reopen this month, following refurbishment works.
It will soon be home to the library, Williton Registration Office, a customer access point and health visitors, having been closed since December.
Ahead of the move, Williton Library will be closing on Monday June 16, with the health visitors moving from the Children’s Centre at the end of the week.
There will be no access to either Williton Library or the customer access point until the reopening.
On reopening, there will no longer be a formal customer reception at West Somerset House, however a new customer access point in Williton Library will be available.
West Somerset House is located on the opposite side of the road from the current Williton Library and Children’s Centre on Killick Way.
Cllr Federica Smith-Roberts executive member for communities, housing and culture at Somerset Council said: “By bringing the library, Customer Access Point and other services together under one roof, we’re creating a hub where people can access vital services, get support, and connect with their community in a refreshed, modern environment.
“We want everyone to feel confident using digital services, and our Customer Access Points are designed to make that process straightforward and accessible.”
West Somerset House will reopen with the new services on Wednesday June 25.
