The Westcott Venture Park community gathered to celebrate the opening of a new 100-seater café and restaurant, operated by catering company Lamb Catering & Events
The café, which opened last Wednesday, now provides more than a thousand employees with food, drink, and catering services for events, meeting a long-standing demand for dining and hospitality services at the park. Open from 8-4pm Monday through Friday, all dishes are made in-house and include jacket potatoes, baguettes and a salad bar, along with much more. Local suppliers are a priority, and the café operates a no-plastic drinks policy, all soft drinks are served in cans or glass.
The Skylark Conference Centre, where the café is based, is named in tribute to the motors of Britain’s first space rocket developed at Westcott in the 1950s and forms part of a major programme backed by UK Space Agency funding.
