Bracknell Town FC’s Larges Lane ground could be redeveloped for 126 flats under plans which go before councillors on Thursday (March 24).
Officers have recommended approval for the scheme ahead of Bracknell Forest Council’s advisory planning committee’s meeting.
The application is a revised version of an earlier proposal for 164 flats on the 1.16-hectare site.
The current plan is for three blocks of between two and five storeys comprising 17 one-bedroom flats, 94 with two and 15 with three. There will be a 25 per cent allocation of affordable homes.
A total of 167 car parking spaces is proposed, 119 of them in an undercroft car park.
The club wants to move away from the town centre and needs a home which meets modern FA requirements.
