BBS Capital has revealed and submitted plans for a mixed-used scheme, coined The Redcatch Quarter.

Outline plans have been submitted by Redcatch Development Partnership (a JV between BBS, Melburg and Galliard Homes), BBS Capital and Pelican Developments, and are comprised of 850 homes, 7,430 sq m of commercial space, community spaces, a library and a cinema.

The plans come after a lengthy seven-month consultation period.

Francis Hilton, project manager for the scheme, said: “We want to thank everyone who participated in the consultation as your feedback has been instrumental in the progression of the proposals.

“Following valuable discussions with local people, it’s clear that we are all united in wanting a thriving, sustainable community asset that will deliver for Knowle for years to come.

“Local input has led to the introduction of the cinema, wider and more attractive pedestrian areas, a reduction in massing and redistribution of buildings, and better integration with the park.”

Construction will be phased and will likely take around 3 years.

Details of the phasing will be provided as part of the reserved matters application.
