Councillors in Oxford will discuss plans for 159 homes in Marston on Wednesday (May 26).

Ahead of the meeting of the planning committee, officers at Oxford City Council have recommended approval for the scheme, put forward by NC Architects on behalf of MK Dogar Ltd, for 3.673 hectares at Hill View Farm in Mill Lane. The site is off the A40 northern bypass.

The development will comprise a mix of houses and apartments of one to four bedrooms and, of the 159 homes, 79 will be affordable. There will be 148 car parking spaces and two for car club vehicles.

More than 100 objections were lodged against the application, mostly around traffic and parking, while a further 39 were made after a public consultation in February.

An additional letter of objection was sent by a solicitor on behalf of a resident which included a report by a transport consultant, a heritage assessment and a vehicle vibration assessment.
