A site with consent for 184 homes in Epping has gone on the market.
Qualis Commercial, Epping Forest District Council’s private development company, is inviting bids from developers for the 1.01-hectare site in St John’s where 10 of the consented homes have already been delivered.
This prominent location was identified for housing in the council’s Local Plan.
Cllr Tim Matthews, cabinet member for commercial and estates, said: “This is a fantastic site with huge potential. It is already allocated in our Local Plan, it is close to everything, and it is ready for development.
“We want to see new homes built that meet the needs of our residents and make the very best use of this important town centre site.”
Proceeds from the site will be reinvested into council services.
This advert will be going out to the trade press. Deadline for bids is June 26.
