The Crown Estate have submitted an outline application to Cambridge City Council, with all matters reserved except for access, seeking the phased redevelopment of Cambridge Business Park.
The redevelopment will include up to approximately 173,000 sq m of flexible employment generating workspace, which would comprise offices and R&D space, there would also be around 60,000 sq ft for retail, leisure and community uses.
Alongside this there would be a residential development of up to 500 dwellings (which would include 40 per cent affordable housing), up to 200 homes for co-living, new access points – including from Cowley Road, two new mobility hubs comprising up to 1,000 car parking spaces, and public open space to comply with BNG requirements.
Approximately 8,000 jobs are expected to be created from the redevelopment.
