Sportswear and fashion supplier Mitchell & Ness has agreed a lease on a new UK distribution base at Westcott Venture Park.

The firm has taken a 10-year lease on 24,440 sq ft Building 1000, set on two acres of the 650-acre park near Aylesbury, owned by Patrizia Hanover Property Unit Trust. The building incorporates 4,000 sq ft of offices and will become the centre of its UK operations.

Mitchell & Ness will move across the park from its current 16, 786 sq ft base.

Patrizia senior associate Max Pearson said: “We are pleased to have been able to support Mitchell & Ness, a global brand with a rich history of over 120 years, in its rapid growth and expansion.  We are thrilled to have accommodated their needs at Westcott and look forward to continuing to support their ongoing success.

“We are proud of what has been achieved at Westcott over the last few years which has been reflected in the high calibre occupiers we have attracted and continue to retain on the site.”

The fast-growing firm was acquired by global digital sports platform Fanatics last year and expects to add more than 10 new roles to its 18-strong workforce.

Damon Briggs, vice president, international, for Mitchell & Ness said: “Moving into this larger facility is an exciting opportunity for us and marks the beginning of a new phase of expansion for the brand.

“It will not only boost staff morale but also provide us with additional space to elevate our UK and European operations to new heights.  Over the next three to five years, we have ambitious plans to significantly grow our business.

“Westcott is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth, and it’s wonderful to witness both existing businesses expanding and new businesses joining the park.  We are delighted to be taking the next important step in the evolution of Mitchell & Ness by establishing a new bigger facility at Westcott.”

The warehouse is expected to be ready by February with the offices ready by April.
