Terra Strategic and Hayfield Homes are planning up to 280 homes within the New Eastern Villages (NEV) development in Swindon.
A report by Savills, in a scoping request to Swindon Borough Council, has revealed the proposal being worked on for 19.7-hectare agricultural site north of Redlands Farm.
Full permission will be sought for a four-hectare section of the land while outline permission will be sought for the remaining 15.7 hectares.
The proposal forms a part of the south eastern area of the NEV, known as Redlands Village.
The NEV will eventually accommodate 8,000 homes along with employment and community space.
