Councillors have been recommended to approve plans for up to 520 homes at Guildford.

Guildford Borough Council’s planning committee will consider plans by London Strategic Land and Countryside, for the development of land at Garlick’s Arch in Send Marsh, on Wednesday, June 9,

The hybrid application, put forward by Iceni Projects, is for full planning permission for 220 homes, six plots for travelling showpeople and 81 sq m of community space, plus outline permission for up to 300 more homes in later phases.

The scheme includes a 40 per cent allocation of affordable homes on the 28.9-hectare site which runs alongside the A3 and is currently in agricultural use.

As well as Iceni as planning consultant, the team includes OSP as architect and masterplanner, Barton Willmore as landscape masterplanner and Vectos as transport consultant.
