St Hilda’s College, Oxford has applied to demolish its principal’s lodgings building  and replace it with a new structure  along with 72 student accommodation units.
The scheme, submitted to Oxford City Council by Turnberry Planning, supports the college’s ambition to have all its students housed on site.
The college plans two student buildings, Meadow and Villa, plus the new, smaller, principal’s lodgings which will be on a spot closer to the River Cherwell. A series of sheds and storage buildings will also make way for the development.
The scheme, in Cowley Place, is the second phase of the college’s plan to transform its teaching and living spaces.
